1951 Chevrolet Other Chevrolet - idontnoe65

After seeing the featured truck several years ago that was built by GM using an S10 frame, 5 cylinder engine, and 1949 body (I think), I decided to take on a similar project.  I had a 1951 Chevy 5 window, and I got an extended cab type S10 frame from a local yard.  a friend of mine gave me the long bed off of his 3/4 ton project, which I initially was going to install on the S10 frame.  But an idea entered my head to shorten the long bed to the second pocket on the side, approximately 21 inches.  If I could shorten the bed, I might lengthen the cab the same amount, and thus the project began.  That was 5 years ago, I didn't work on it for 2 years due to my father being ill.  I started working on the engine this year, and plan to install a 4L60E transmission.  It has Mosier axles, Eaton differential, and ZQ3 Wheels and chassis components.  I am using BDS components in the 6-71 blower, March Perfomance aluminum pulleys, and will utilize BDS EFI on top.  It's still work in progress!
