About my Other Chevrolet

This is my dad's 49 chevy truck.When he bought it there were a 250 cid 6 lung and manual 3 speed on the tree.Now it carries a 1968 327/300 with a very lumpy cam,turbo 350,3:73 12 bolt,heidts rack and pinion,ididit tilt colum,and grey custom interior.Not too shabby for a 70 year old man ,a son and a few friends.

Hi there Quicksilverss!

Your truck is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!  I am actually currently looking for a truck to feature in a local Christmas Parade in Redlands, CA on Saturday, December 6, 2008. The company represented will be State Farm Insurance Co. We are looking to rent or borrow a red classic truck.  Yours is precisely what we are looking for, as it matches PERFECTLY the miniature die-cast model trucks that State Farm produces as memorabilia, and which we have as decorations in our new office.  Our plan is to have a person in a bear costume (like a mascot), which is actually the "Neigh-Bear" (because the slogan is: "Like a good NEIGHBOR, State Farm is there).  The Neighbear and a local State Farm Agent, along with a couple of children would ride in the back of the truck.  If it is possible, we would like to perhaps run a string of lights around the perimeter of the back of the truck, play Christmas music from the cab, hang a State Farm banner from the side of the truck, and we also have some magnets that could be applied to the doors, which have the State Farm logo, agent Feria's contact info, etc.
