This was the fourth in a series of rebuilds.Actually,I didn't get to finish number three,ran out of money and time like most good projects do.Found this truck in a mans front yard sort of wasting away and talked him into sellinf it to me for 2800.00.After I got it to my shop,I proceeded to strip it to the frame,that made rebuilding the suspension easier and re-painting the frame more accessible.Planted a late model,1986 engine to be exact,bolted to a turbo 350 trannny that has a shift kit and 2500 stall.Did a few mods to the engine.Placed a Weind aluminum intake on as well as a Jegs HEI distributer.I've got a Jet Performance Q-jet feeding it.I left the stock guts of the small block in place and the combination allows me about 14 miles to the gallon.Not bad for a street cruiser.I enjoy taking it to local cruise nights and I drive around a lot in the summer,especially in the evenings,around town.
