About my Blazer

Hey CCT

I first got the motivation for this truck from an issue of CCT !  I saw a wild red convertible Chevy that I thought was a pickup with the top cut off.  Then I read the article and realized....I was looking at a Blazer !

Right away I was hooked. I started searching the internet for one in my area.  There were none. Yet, it was only 2 or 3 weeeks and I came across the ad for this one, "Must sell, owner relocating to Kentucky".

The previous owner, a Blazer fanatic was selling his 8th ! "and admittedly his best" 1972 Chevy Blazer, a former Arizona native.  He had $ 15,000 in parts and
$ 5000 in paint and bodywork into her.  He gave me  more parts that I installed, thanks to LMC Truck and their great exploded view drawings and wide selection !

Call me crazy, I shoved my 3000 GT out of the garage and replaced it with one tall truck + parts.  One thing that helped motivate me....I noticed that the more parts I installed, the more room I had left in my garage to walk around without getting bruised !

This truck has all the things my first truck needed, a 1969 Chevy stepside, over 25 years ago.

Power disc brakes, POWER STEERING, POWER WINDOWS that I wired up, a Heater !, Auto Tranny, Tilt Steering wheel,
4 wheel drive, Roll bar, Air Horns, the stock 307ci but with 4 barrel Edelbrock, MSC Ignition, new grille, hood and tailgate and fiberglass gas tank, Dual Turbo mufflers/exhaust.... it idles like a dream in traffic and cruises nicely on the highway at 60. It has'nt failed me once in the 3 years I owned it.

It has 3 Air conditioners, Left side, right side and top Hard and soft tops, hand made Tonneau cover for May to November.  I added rear facing seats for the kids and I’m adding leather buckets for the front.  Soon it'll have new red carpet and kick panel speakers with a new stereo.  I also have plans to install my front wheel bike lock for my 1100cc motorcycle, also Red & white.

ANYBODY interested in POWER High back gray cloth buckets, (front & rear) excellent condition from a JEEP Cherokee ? I will put them on eBAY soon.

It also has 6 Air bags and Computer controlled ride dampening suspension, rides like a CADILLAC ....gotcha........APRIL FOOLS ! ....I meant to say, it has heavy duty leaf springs, front and rear.
(Seat belts recommended on bumpy roads and hold onto your dentures !)

Where's my Jan '08 issue of CCT ?  Here it is .....
"10 Choice Chassis to choose From".......hmmmmm

Well, the only thing thing else I would want is a CCT License Plate Frame !

Ride on...

Rick

Love your truck man.  I just bought a 1972 blazer.  Where did you get the fiberglass gas tank?

The only thing I see wrong with this picture is the import in it.  You should have pushed that thing down and around the corner.  Nice Blazer though.

Looks nice.  Too bad its not a Fastback Ford. I hear those are really cool.
